I was really chuffed with
the work you done with James Chalmers. I visited the place where
Thomas Chalmers was based in the early 1800's when James was
born - it's still there! I also tracked down the old parish
church where he had been baptised as well. It was really
terrific to source my ancestors like that - geographically as
well as genealogically!

I just wanted to say thank you so much for finding
out about the McAllister family for my Granddad. I took him to Govan when he was here, and he was like a kid at Christmas -I've never seen him so happy!
We went to the street that his father was born in, and there was a pub on
the corner that was there when the family lived locally. We went in for a
drink, and the landlord gave us a picture of the place taken in 1905! We
then went to a coffee shop over the road to get out of the cold, and the
shop had been there and in the same family since 1870, so the current owner
took out the old photo album and we spent a good hour in there looking
through old photo's!! Thanks again, and thanks for giving my Granddad the best Christmas present!

Just received the certificates and
transcripts in the mail. Thank you, it looks wonderful. It does
answer so many questions we had about them

Scot-Roots presentation of the
information to me was of the highest standard, and I have been
totally delighted with all their help. Nothing has been too much
bother - they have gone out of their way to be extremely
helpful, and I consider the money very well spent.
I had no idea where to start except the person was born in
Ayrshire but they traced him. They have helped me to track my
birth line (as both my late husband and I were adopted) and as I
have now finished my line, I will get them to help me with Des's
birth line. I have no hesitation in recommending them.

I have just received the research
report on my grandfather. That is a lot of information to
gather. Can't tell you how grateful I am. I now know more now
than my parents ever did. You did a great job!!

I was very pleased to receive your
report and am very grateful to be able to associate with my
roots. It is very gratifying for me to receive this history and
background and will share it with other family here in Canada.
